Well what a busy term! Our hockey and tag rugby teams did very well in their events; playing against other schools from our Liaison Group is such a good experience for the children and all the teams show real competitive spirit. Our choirs have sung at the RAF Church and Officers Mess and they loved the chocolate gifts they received – on their behalf thank you.
WANSA granted some Christmas wishes. Some were very personal and heartfelt and made us quite emotional. We chose five wishes that reflected the true spirit of Christmas; Leona wished for a new teddy for the library so that everyone could sit with him; Numa, Jamie W, Abby G and Sarib wished that people who had no food or who were poor could have a happy Christmas – as Sarib said ‘It would be phenomenal if everyone had enough food.’ and so WANSA have made donations to the local homeless charity on behalf of these children. Finally we made a dream come true and Ashdyn is going to be a train driver, he is very excited! He is off on Saturday to drive the Santa Express at Chinnor (accompanied of course). We are looking forward to seeing pictures of this next year.
I would like to thank Karen Davies and WANSA for organising the wishes.
Thank you for your donations for the reverse Advent Calendars. Again these collections show the true meaning of Christmas, the boxes were taken to Food Bank in High Wycombe.
I hope you all have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. For those of you who are leaving us at the end of this term good luck in your new schools. I will see everyone else back on the 4th January 2018.
