Naphill and Walters Ash School
Our children are expected to behave with courtesy and consideration at all times and our policy is one of positive discipline, focusing on good behaviour. We have a School Behaviour Code System which is followed from Reception to Year 6. The Codes clearly set out what is acceptable behaviour and the consequences if this behaviour is not shown.
The school has a Behaviour Policy that emphasises the standards of behaviour that are expected from everyone. A copy of the school’s Behaviour Policy is available on the school web site under our policies section.
The school expects all parents to behave in a polite and respectful manner on school premises. Parents who are verbally abusive towards staff will be asked to leave the premises and if you refuse the police will be called. The school will then seek action under County regulations to ban you from entering the school premises again.
The school rewards children who keep the rules and follow the school’s expectations in a variety of ways; housepoints, certificates, ‘Star of the Day’, Golden Time and Golden Time Plus.
Naphill and Walters Ash School uses a house point system for the children in Years 1-6. Children are allocated a house point team at the start of the school year (or on joining us, if during the school term).
Children will not necessarily be in the same house point team each year.
House points are awarded for good conduct, outstanding school work, completing homework on time, being helpful, plus many other positive behaviours. At the end of each half term, the house points are added up, and the winning team are invited to have extra playtime.
Your child should know which house point team they are in, and a list is usually displayed in the classroom.
If you are unsure as to which team your child is in, please contact your child’s class teacher or the school office for confirmation.
