The child has one intuitive aim: self development

I hope you are all well and staying safe. This is a very strange and, for some, disconcerting time. It is odd being in school but without seeing most of you; those children who are in, are having a great time and being well looked after.

The teachers are currently preparing work grids for after Easter. These will be as practical as possible and you and your children can do as much as is possible. We are not expecting you to be teachers and know that for many of you trying to work from home as well as juggling school work is a challenge.

Use this time to follow your child’s interests; if they like football look at the Premier League Allstars site, they have lots of great ideas. Research the history of their favourite club; where in the UK is the club? How would you get there (possibly not Wycombe Wanderers!) Have they played in Europe? If so where?

There is so much you can get from non-National Curriculum subjects that actually cover the curriculum without knowing it.

Take this time to look after each other and stay safe.  When we come back to school ensuring that sense of safety and care will be our priority. As for embedded clauses or dividing fractions – we will get back to them!
